Does it work?
What is photobiomodulation and how does it work?
+
Red and near-infrared light at specific wavelengths (620-660nm, 810-850nm, 940nm) penetrate tissue and are absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase, an enzyme in your mitochondria. This process has been explored in over 5,000 published studies across peer-reviewed journals including The Lancet and the Journal of Biomedical Optics.
What does the published research actually show?
+
Studies on photobiomodulation have reported findings including reduced discomfort scores in knee osteoarthritis patients (Bjordal et al., The Lancet, 2009), improvements in chronic low back discomfort (Huang et al., Systematic Reviews, 2015), increased hair density over 16 weeks (Lanzafame et al., Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, 2014), and faster post-exercise muscle recovery (Ferraresi et al., Lasers in Medical Science, 2014). These studies examined the general modality, not Redologi products.
How long until I notice a difference?
+
Experiences vary. Many users report a warm, soothing sensation during sessions. Published research timelines range from 4 weeks for initial changes to 12-16 weeks for more significant outcomes. We recommend consistent daily use and following the included Recovery Guide.
How is this different from a regular heating pad?
+
A heating pad provides surface warmth only. Redologi devices deliver red and near-infrared light at wavelengths that penetrate into tissue, combined with heat and vibration (Body Pro) or focused light therapy alone (Joint Pro). The light component is what distinguishes photobiomodulation from heat therapy.
About our devices
Which device is right for me?
+
Body Pro ($129): Designed for large areas like lower back, shoulders, and legs. Combines red light, heat, and vibration. Joint Pro ($199): Designed for specific joints like knees, elbows, wrists, and ankles. 72 LEDs, 36W of focused light therapy. No heat, no vibration. Hair Pro ($299): Designed for hair and scalp. 144 LEDs across three wavelengths in a baseball cap form factor.
What wavelengths do your devices use?
+
Body Pro uses 660nm and 850nm. Joint Pro and Hair Pro use 630nm, 850nm, and 940nm. These wavelengths fall within the ranges most commonly studied in photobiomodulation research. Not all devices include all three wavelengths.
How often should I use it?
+
We recommend daily sessions of 10 to 15 minutes for the first 8 to 12 weeks. After that, many users transition to 3 to 4 sessions per week. Consistency matters more than session length.
How do I use it?
+
Place the device on the area you want to address. Press the power button. The device runs for 10 to 15 minutes and shuts off automatically. All devices charge via USB-C. No app required.
Can I use Joint Pro on any joint?
+
Yes. The flexible wrap design fits around knees, elbows, wrists, shoulders, and ankles. It adjusts to different body sizes and joint shapes. For large flat areas like the lower back, Body Pro is a better fit.
Pricing, shipping & returns
Why are Redologi devices more affordable?
+
We sell directly to you. No retail markup, no distributor margin, no celebrity endorsement costs. We use high-quality LEDs at the same wavelengths used in published research and pass the savings on.
What is your return policy?
+
60-day risk-free trial. If you are not satisfied, return it for a full refund. Prepaid return label included. No restocking fee. No questions.
Is shipping free?
+
Free shipping on all US orders. Ships within 1 to 2 business days.
Do you offer payment plans?
+
Yes. You can split your purchase into 4 interest-free payments at checkout.
Safety & usage
Is it safe to use every day?
+
Published literature on photobiomodulation at consumer-level wavelengths and power levels reports no significant adverse effects at therapeutic doses. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take photosensitizing medication, consult your healthcare provider before use.
Can I use it alongside other treatments?
+
We cannot advise on combining treatments. If you are under care for a specific condition, consult your healthcare provider before adding any new device to your routine.
Can I use it over clothing?
+
For best results, apply directly to skin. Light penetration is reduced through fabric. The Body Pro heat and vibration functions work through light clothing, but the LED therapy is most effective with direct skin contact.
Hair growth
How long before I see hair results?
+
Hair growth is a slow biological process. Published research measured results at the 16-week mark (Lanzafame et al., 2014). We recommend consistent daily use for a minimum of 12 to 16 weeks before evaluating. Individual results may vary.
Does the Hair Pro cap look normal?
+
Yes. It looks like a standard black baseball cap. No visible LEDs from the outside, no wires, no noise. The power button is small and discreet.
Why does Hair Pro use LEDs instead of lasers?
+
Published research has studied both LEDs and laser diodes for hair applications. LEDs allow us to deliver three wavelengths across 144 diodes at a significantly lower cost than laser-based devices. That saving goes directly to you.
